Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions other than what you see below, please reach out to Monica or Kyle.

Q: How is COVID-19 affecting your wedding?

Last updated August 17, 2021.

A: It is highly important to Kyle, The Brix, and myself that you are completely safe during our big day! The CDC and the State are requiring masks indoors for areas of high transmission. Kane County is not an area of substantial transmission. The capacity for the event is still open. However, please indicate on your RSVP if you are fully vaccinated or plan to test prior to our wedding. This information will still be collected in the instance restrictions come back. The total vaccination and negative COVID-19 test counts will not be shared with The Brix or any other guest. If restrictions change and The Brix needs to collect counts, we will share them at that time.

We would love to have you at the wedding, but if you are feeling sick the day of, please stay home. We will share pictures of our big day with all of you!

We will update the guidelines as we receive them from The Brix on the Fox.

Q: Are kids welcome?

A: We love your kids, they're great! But we want our wedding to be your night off! Our reception will be an adults-only event to make that a reality.

Q: Is parking free for the ceremony and reception?

A: Yes! Complimentary parking is available at the venue if you are not planning to stay the night at the hotel.

Q: I am vegan/vegetarian or have a gluten allergy. Is there something for me to eat?

Yes! Please note that you are a vegan/vegetarian on your RSVP. Also, all other dinner options will be gluten-free. We will also have two vegan/vegetarian friendly appetizers.

Q: Do you have any hotel recommendations?

A: Yes! We have a room block at the Sonesta Select Chicago Elgin hotel. Please see our "Travel" tab for more information. There will also be a free shuttle from the venue to the hotel with 15 rooms booked.
